COLLIDER6: DATA
In the age of data being associated with government spying or commercial interests, defining data,
information and knowledge are very difficult. C6 makes no attempt at defining these words or
commenting on the use. Instead C6 focuses on the artist, the designer, the message, the voice, the
audience, the impact. C6 sets a stage to allow artists to define what and how data can inform or influence
their work and our lives. The artist’s interpretation of data creates dialog providing us with a new ‘shared’
experience. An experience of common knowledge, in turn translating to data. Thus reversing the pattern of
data building life, to life building data.
